Memorable Experience

I’ll never forget the first time I went travelling with my dad when I was 9. For this first trip, I went to Beijing. The reasons why we choose Beijing are not only it is not far, but also it is the capital city of China. Beijing is the centre of economic and cultural life in China. After a long trip in the train, we arrived at the western train station of Beijing. Then we went to the Wangfu hotel. After everything is ready, we started to travel in Beijing. Unlike my hometown, Beijing is a large city which has a lot of people and cars on the street. The first place they visited was Tian An Men Square. At there, we joined a ceremony which rose the national flag. After that, we went through the Tian An Men and entered into the Forbidden City. It was a very great city in Chinese history. We visited the Imperial Palace and its museum at there. Next, we went to the Summer Palace and visited the Long Corridor. On the second day, we went to the Great Wall, and it is really very great. After finishing the trip in Beijing, we went home by a plane. It is very exciting because it is my first time to by the air. What a good trip we had. I can’t forget it forever.

A Person Who Has Made a Difference: Thomas Edison

Thomas Alva Edison was a famous American inventor who changed all our lives in so many ways. However, it is little known that Edison had a difficult early life. He came from a poor family and he lost his hearing when he was thrown out from a train when an experiment he was conducting went wrong. It was this inquisitiveness that led to his school years being cut short as he had to leave early. After this early difficult life, he began to start his career.
Edison’s inventions are well-known and had a profound effect on our lives. First of all, he improved the telegraph with his colleagues and this made him famous. After this early success, he invented the gramophone and the kinetoscope. These inventions gave people more fun in their life. However, his most important invention was the light bulb. Although his experiments failed many times, he persevered until the light bulb was invented. Even after this breakthrough, he continued to improve the light bulb. He improved the quality and made it more affordable. This invention let people leave the darkness and make a big difference in the world.

who am I

Hi! Do you know who am I? I’d like to introduce myself now. My name is Chongguang Wang. Wang is my family name. I am usually called Fred by people in UK. I was born in Tai Yuan which is the capital city of Shanxi province. It is in the north of China and not far from Beijing. My father, mother and I group a sweet family. My father is a businessman which is very handsome. My mother is good at cooking and maths. But I only get the talent of maths from her.
Now I come to the UK and start to study the foundation in the University of Leicester. At here, I make many friends. Even thought they all taller than me. They held my 19th birthday for me. I’m very with that bacause I’ve never had a birthday with so many people before. I’d like to say thanks to everyone.
In China, I used to study and speak Chinese. In our English class, we prefer to do more exercises about grammar, reading ang writing rather than speaking ang listening. But now in the UK, I will try my best to learn English well
In my free time, I usually play computer games with my friends. Sometimes I play the clairnet about half a hour. And I am starting to practice harmonica. That is me.
